Nurettin Arslan has written about Assos, Cevat Başaran about Parion, Coşkun Özgünel about the Smintheion Sanctuary, Turan Takaoğlu about the prehistoric settlement at Smintheion and Davut Kaplan about the Roman bath at Smintheion. Musa Tombul has described the monumental tumuli of the region. Tahsin Aydoğmuş has taken the photographs that bring the city of Çanakkale to life.
