Abu al-Fath al-Busti (d. 400 AH) is considered one of the poets of the Abbasid era distinguished for the strength of his diction and the clarity of his meaning. He became famous for his poetry that blended personal experience with intellectual reflection. His poetry was a mirror of his thought and culture, combining eloquence and wisdom, and it was influenced by the intellectual outlook of the writers and courtiers in the Samanid state.
