The rose pictures (worked with gouache, watercolors and gold on paper), have been gathered from the following art sources:
1. Old Turkish manuscripts including Korans, prayer books, flower albums, poetical anthologies, miniature albums and calligraphic panels
2. Ornamentations of lacquered bookbindings and the designs of the oval center medallions (şemse) from the stamped and gilded leather bookbindings.
3. Samples of "Edirnekari" crafts, a highly popular art style of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, used for ornamenting manuscripts, bookbindings, wood and plaster surfaces.
